![]() Hey mate just saw your add on YouTube and was wondering if you can chrome spray a pair of fibreglass LH torana bumpers. Have just got some feedback from a contact I have been chasing. As I said I will send the bumpers to the USA if it can't be done in australia.Īwaiting Usa feedback on Alsa solutions/products that are suitable for bumper use.Įdited by LXSS350, 28 March 2012 - 02:30 PM. But I will pay very well for a quality chrome paint that has all of the durability and uv resistance as any of the better automotive 2pac paint finishes. it has to be significantly reported as being successful for bumper use. I am not going to tip money down the drain on just a few good reports. Once I can find dozens of people that have used and verified a system (and its application) the wallet will come out and the bumpers will be chrome. (and just as useless application instructions) LOL Having no interest or talent in paint, I am not interested in being the importing guinea pig with gallons of multiple branded. Tried nothing yet because with the help of google and dozens of emails I simply haven't found either the right product or method of application. If I can't the carbon fibre bumpers will be sold and the heavy metal chrome ones be back on. then I can find out if someone local can do it/and or has the right equipment that the chosen product needs to apply it.īelieve me I am working on it and have been for months. Its all to do with the clear and the protection and reaction to the base chrome coat. Many systems are fine for indoor and interior bits but not full direct sunlight and road borne grit, bugs, washing, detergents etc. Then you also need to find a product that doest mark or scratch over easily from general use. So your nice shiny fibreglass bumpers look like this after a month of sun. Then the UV destroys most of these systems/products. Otherwise if you choose the wrong product it starts like this. Until you get the right chroming system product its pointless naming a Perth spray painter.
